Jenny Woolliscroft

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist and have been working in the field for over 20 years. I have worked with people on hugely different issues and I have seen that looking at our relationship to food and eating is best done by looking at the whole person. I am keen to support people to feel more in control of their eating and to have a better relationship with themselves in general. In a group setting we can hear that our struggles are not peculiar to ourselves and can begin to envisage changes in ourselves.

Morven Fyfe

I struggled with eating disorders for twenty years, and through my interest in Susie Orbach's 'Fat is a Feminist Issue' and my work as a diet counsellor and behaviour breakthrough teacher, have been free of these for the last eighteen years. I found Julia Buckroyd's programme to be very similar to what had worked for me, and I feel thrilled to work within what is now a well researched field.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and a member of the BACP. I also trained in the USA as a bodyworker in 1985, and in my work I invite a better connection to our bodies. Gradually, we can learn to trust our body without using food as a barrier to life and living.

Deborah Millar

Deborah is a qualified counsellor with an advanced Diploma in Counselling and recently gained her BACP Accreditation. She has been practising Counselling for nearly 10 years in both her own private practise and with a number of registered agencies.

'After originally studying in Business and Marketing at University and working in the Business Sector I knew I wanted a change of direction and to work more with people. I tried volunteering in a local parenting charity, loved it so much I became their Co-ordinator and then began studying counselling to support me in this work. My passion for counselling and wanting to help people understand why they behave (and eat) they way they do, led me to Julia's 'Understanding your Eating Programme'. I found this insightful yet simple programme offered people in distress a way to understand their eating which led them to a more healthy and enjoyable relationship with food.' I trained as a facilitator to enhance my knowledge and am really looking forward to making this programme available to people in N Ireland.'

Caroline Harber

I trained to be a Group Leader on this course for personal reasons - it identified an area of my life I wanted to get to understand more. Like many women I have been on and off diets since my mid teens. I have always known that basically if I want to loose weight then I need to eat less. But I wanted to get to the core of the problem and to understand my relationship with food. Now I have accomplished this for myself I am keen to work with others who are interested in looking closely at themselves and address their eating patterns.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work under the BACP code of ethics. As well as being fully trained and accredited By Relationships Scotland (formerly known as Relate Scotland), I am also qualified in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and training and personal development.

Rosemary McClements-Hall

Post Grad Dip Counselling, MBACP

I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor who loves food. However, through the UYE programme, I understand the connection between emotions and how they affect what you eat. Conversely, how emotions can result in over eating to the detriment of a healthy lifestyle, resulting in being over-weight and low self-esteem.

If this sounds like you, call me to discuss if the programme can help change the way you view food, allowing you to take charge of your life.
